The Strawberry Moon: A celestial event not to be missed!

June's full moon is traditionally known as the Strawberry Moon, a name given to it by the Algonquin tribes of North America. This year, the Strawberry Moon will peak on the night of June 27.

The Strawberry Moon gets its name from the fact that it occurs during the strawberry-growing season. In Europe, the full moon in June was known as the Rose Moon.

The moon will rise in the east at sunset and will be visible in the sky all night. It will reach its peak at 12:53 a.m. EDT on June 28.

This full moon is also known as the Honey Moon, a name that likely comes from the fact that June is traditionally a month for weddings.

The Strawberry Moon is the first of three consecutive full moons, a phenomenon known as a supermoon trilogy. The next two full moons, in July and August, are also supermoons.
