Joe Burrow Injury: Jake Browning Reacts

On Sunday, Bengals rookie quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending knee injury against the Washington Football Team. The news sent shockwaves throughout the NFL community, and prompted reactions from around the league.

One of those reactions came from Jake Browning, the former University of Washington star who is now a member of the Atlanta Falcons. Browning and Burrow were contemporaries in college, and the two have remained close since then.

"It's just really sad," Browning said of Burrow's injury. "You never want to see that happen to anybody, let alone somebody that you're close with."

Browning also spoke about how Burrow had been dealing with injuries throughout his college career, but had always bounced back.

"He's just such a tough kid," Browning said. "He's dealt with so much in his career, and he's just always fought through it. I know he'll do the same thing again."

The Bengals have not yet officially announced the extent of Burrow's injury, but it is believed to be a torn ACL. Browning said he would be reaching out to Burrow in the coming days to offer his support.
